Everyday, hundreds of thousands of people decide to migrate to some English speaking countries, either temporarily or permanently, for educational, personal, and/or professional reasons. And, almost all, must prove that their English language skills are strong enough to fit in the new country.
IELTSTM

is a high-stakes standardized test of English language proficiency for study,
immigration, or work purposes. Established in 1989, IELTS is a registered
trademark of and is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS
Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English.
IELTS is accepted widely by universities, academic
institutions as well as various professional bodies, and organizations in
Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand, USA, and many other countries across the
world.
IELTS is commonly in two types, or modules: IELTS
Academic and IELTS General Training. IELTS Academic is commonly taken for
higher education or professional registration purposes. IELTS General Training
is commonly taken for immigration and professional purposes.
IELTS is available in paper-based and computer-based
formats and tests your skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The
test takes up to three hours, with the listening, reading and writing completed
on the same day. The speaking test can be delivered on the same day, or up to a
week before or after the other part of the test.
IELTS results are reported on a scale from 1 to 9, with
half-band scores possible. A score of 9 is recognized as an “Expert” user of
English, while 7 is a “Good“ user and 5 is interpreted as a “Modest” user of
English.

iBT®
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language
Internet-based Test) is a high-stakes test of English language proficiency for
university study, work, and immigration purposes. TOEFL® is a registered trade

English language skills, i.e. reading, listening, speaking, and writing, for
academic contexts. The test is delivered online in secure testing centers. The
test is administered all in one day and takes nearly three hours.
Unlike some other tests, TOEFL iBT has “integrated
tasks”. For example, in the speaking section, you will read a passage, listen
to a recording, and then fulfill the speaking task. Similarly, in the writing
section, you will read a passage, listen to a recording, and then fulfill the
writing task.
Each section scores out of 30, and the overall test
scores out of 120. There are extra unscored questions either for the reading or
the listening section.
You’ll receive your results in 6 days.
